Bio

Hi my name is David J. Anderson Jr and I have two kids:  Mia (2015) and Stevie (2019).  I very much enjoy my time parenting.  When I was young, the first thing I ever wanted to do or be when I got older was to be a dad.  I am very blessed to have been given that opportunity not once, but twice.

I have a BS Degree in Exercise Science from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky.  Magna Cum Laude, 2008.

I was a 2-sport letterman in high school (football, powerlifting) and I ran track senior year to prepare for the USMC bootcamp.  My senior year, I was a participant in FCA and was the morning prayer group leader after I was baptized at the University Church of Christ on August 19, 2001.

I was a US Marine Corps Reservist as I studied at MSU but in January 2003 on the first day of classes I was activated to go to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

After that and after graduating from MSU in 2008 I continued on with my education for one more year studying Dietetics.  In 2009 I decided to move back up north to the Kankakee County area to live with my dad as I saved up for Culinary Arts school — or so was my plan.

I first started work at the Kankakee Community College as an Exercise Specialist.  I did routine exercise-related tasks and also personal training for a few Softball and Baseball athletes.

From there I worked at the former Provena St. Mary’s Total Wellness Center as an Exercise Specialitst, Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor and Routine Lecturer.

I lectured on both the benefits of Exercise and Nutrition.

From there, in 2011 I decided to branch off on my own and open my own Studio.  And from that time I have been doing this and continually honing my skills of being a trainer.  Because I went this route of getting married in 2010 and opening a gym in 2011, the culinary arts took a back burner.

Over the years, I have worked with a wide-variety of clients and I am here to help you meet your fitness goals or to come up with a set of goals that will keep you motivated and on the right track.

When working with clients regarding exercise, I like to start with an initial free consultation either via a short phone call, Texting, or in person.  This way, I can know where you are coming from and what things you like and don’t like.

If you would like to know more, please ask.
